Lucie Duval is a visual artist whose work has long revolved around the intersection of what is read and what is seen, a process in which words play off objects and images. Born in Mont-Laurier, Duval lives and works in Quebec. She studied at the École des beaux-arts de Toulouse, obtaining her Diplôme national supérieur d’expression plastique (DNSEP) in 1983. Exhibitions of her work are regularly presented in North America, Europe, and Asia. Her work is included in the Canada Council Art Bank and in the Collection du Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. She is represented by Isabelle Gounod Gallery in Paris.
